 Hello friends! I have a treat for you today! A card using the adorable Little Dudes Stamp Set! These Little Dudes are my favorite!! 

I seriously cannot get over how cute they are! 

I used the Candy House Mini Album Die Set (that was released with the Hansel and Gretel Stamp Set a couple months ago) for the Little Dudes cabin. You could even use this die set to make a barn if you wanted. 

I decided to decorate the cabin with wood, but you could also use rocks or bricks. Maybe even logs. So many possibilities!

I started coloring them while the Super Bowl was on and finished them over a couple of days. 

I did some experimenting with skin and hair tones. I have been looking for a dark skin tone that I like. One that has contrast...like the white skin combo that I use. I found that my favorite dark skin is the one on the officer. I will continue playing with the skin combinations and keep you all updated if I find another one that I like better.

La-La Land Crafts Love You Card

 Happy Friday!! I am so happy to be able to excape reality for a little time in my safe place...my craft room. The things going on in our country are unsettling. I won't get into that though.

Let's talk about LOVE!! Our first assignment as a La-La Land Crafts Design Team is to create a Hearts/Love themed card. Perfect since Valentine's Day is just around the corner. 

Now, I know that not all of us are a fan of Valentine's Day. However, I am sure you can think of someone in your life who needs a little extra love. A kind word or just a card to say, I am thinking of you. Do that with hearts!! 

It took me FOREVER to figure out what papers to use for this image. I had some sort of idea of the layout and that I wanted black to be my layering color. Then I remembered the NEW Home for Christmas Paper Pack. I love the Wood papers!! The light grey wood paper worked perfectly for what I had in mind. 

I was feeling quite lazy when I was making this card. It was late and I just really didn't want to do it. I had debated cutting the hearts and words out of colored paper to make it easier on myself. In the end I decided I needed to color the die cuts. I am so glad I did. I love the depth that they have. I know that I wouldn't enjoy them as much if they were cut out of colored cardstock.

Good morning friends! TGIF am I right!?! This week has been so busy. I am ready for the weekend and some downtime. 

This week's theme on the La-La Land Crafts blog is LOVE. You can't make it any easier than that! 

I decided to use the Never Change Stamp Set. It really wasn't a hard decision to make since I found this little guy already colored in my stash. I had colored him when the stamp set was first released but then didn't use him.  Perfect for a week where I don't have a lot of extra time. 

I also found scraps of paper from the Endless Summer Paper Pack. They matched my gecko perfectly! I love it when a card comes together so easily! I seriously had this card done in minutes.

Moving Parts with La-La Land Crafts

Hi all! Happy Friday! It's time for some La-La Land Crafts inspiration! Today the theme is moving parts. I had never made a card with moving parts before. Well, except for a shaker card. So this was a great theme for me. 

The gorgeous dolphins are from the newly released Jaws Because Clear Stamp Set.

Doesn't look like anything moves from the angle of the first picture, but the center dolphin is on a little spring. 

Here's a shot where you can see the spring. It's kinda fun playing with it and watching the dolphin bounce around. 

I colored the dolphins with Copic markers.

Did you know that there is really such a thing as pink dolphins? There is a ton of pictures online of them if you Google them. 

If you wanted to do grey dolphins, my favorite Copic combo is C6, C4, C3, C1, and C00.

Coffee Time with Rubbernecker Stamps

La-La Land Crafts Woodland Wonderland

Hello crafty friends! Today is Friday which means you get some La-La Land Crafts inspiration from me and the rest of the design team. Our theme this week is Woodland Wonderland. 

This new set is one of my favorites! The Woodland Critters are so dang cute.

My Dad worked in the woods most of my childhood. Now, the woods are such a special place for me. It brings back so many great memories of my Dad and all the time we spent together in the woods...camping, riding quads, peeling cascara, picking mushrooms...so many awesome memories.

Anywho, I colored the deer, the twig die cut and the grass/mushroom border with Copic markers. 

I used the Wood Rings Background to make the background paper. I embossed the stamp with white embossing powder and then water colored the paper. It was a lot of fun. I had never tried this technique.

Mothers Day with La-La Land Crafts

Hello there! And Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there! 

Being a Mom is one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs I have ever had the privileged of having. Wednesday I got to see some of the rewards of motherhood. Reneabouquets and Papernest Doll Fight Cancer Card

Hello everyone! I have a special card to share with you today. 

I made this card for a customer that wanted a unique cancer fighting card to give to her friend who has cancer. She told me some of the things that her friend likes and I incorporated some of those likes into this card. 

Her friends favorite color is pink. She loves shopping, which is why I put a fancy dress on the card. 

She likes baking so I added a spoon 

and she likes dolls, hence the Papernest Doll image. 

All of the papers and embellishments that I used for this card are from Reneabouquets. You will find a complete list at the end of the post. 

It was an honor to make this card. I hope that it puts a smile on the recipients face.

I colored Cow Boy Boots Marci with Copic markers and added little highlights with a white gel pen. I love how her boots turned out. I need a pair just like them! I have always wanted a pair of cowboy boots.
