La-La Land Crafts Altered Pringles Can

Good morning! It's them for inspiration from the La-La Land Crafts Friday Team. This week we were to come up with a 3D project. I had saved a little Pringles can from one of my girls' lunch for an occasion just like this.

It turned out super cute! I am loving Winter Molli in this dark color. (You will find the Copic combo I used below)

When I make some caramels this winter, I will put them in this can and gift them to someone special.

I made sure to snap a picture at every angle.

This was a simple, yet fun project to put together. I always love turning trash into a treasure.

Reneabouquets Lady Bug Card

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day! It seems like the weeks just keep going by faster and faster. Before we know it, it's going to be Christmas and then we will be ringing in a new year.

Today I am sharing a card that I made with products from Reneabouquets

I have been wanting to use this Lady Bug ever since Renea put it in the shop. It's gorgeous! Plus my Mom has a thing for lady bugs.

I thought the red, black and white colors made a pretty romantic card. I colored the beautiful board pieces with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink to stick to my color theme.

I love making cards with Reneabouquets Handmade Butterflies and Beautiful Board Pieces. These pieces are very unique and gives my cards a one of a kind look.

I love cards with lots of layers and dimension. To mail this sort of card, I put it in a padded envelop. They get to their destination safe and sound =)

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a fantastic day!
Hugs,

La-La Land Crafts Distressed Christmas Card

Good morning! How are you this fabulous Friday? I am doing good. Got to sleep in a little...the girls do not have school today. Also have a lot of fun planned for the day! Cleaning up the house some (I know that might not sound fun, but I actually like cleaning. Or even more, being in a clean space), going to the you pick farm to get a bunch of green beans to can, cleaning and canning the beans, some card making and getting ready to go hunting tomorrow. It's opening day of moose hunting season here in AK! Moose is our main source of meat. We use it the same way others would use beef. One moose will feed our family for a year or sometimes longer.

Anyways, enough about my Friday plans. Lets get on to the crafts! This week, the La-La Land Crafts design team is using the NEWEST RELEASE for our projects. You know I'm always happy to use NEW RELEASES!

I decided that I'd use the Jolly Elves Clear Stamp Set. These elves are just too cute!

I decided that I wanted to go a little vintage when I started coloring my elf.

I almost always color my images before I choose my papers. It seems kinda backwards if you ask me, but that's how I roll.

I used Copic markers to color my elf and the shadow behind him.

Copic markers
Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000
Green: YG23, YG25, G94, G99
Tan: E33, E31, E51, E50
Lights: Y28, Y26, Y21
Shadow: C3, C1, C00

Layer, layers, layers! I love a card with layers. I used the Shine Bright Background Stamp and the So Many Dots Layering Stencils to create a couple of the layers you see here.

Add a few die cuts and a bow and VOILA! You have a gorgeous layered card!

Here's a complete list of La-La Land Crafts items that I used...

Thank you all for stopping by today. I hope you all have a craftastic weekend!

Club La-La Land Crafts August 2018

Good morning! I have been playing with the La-La Land Crafts August Club Kit again. I seriously love how you can make so many different cards out of the same stamps and dies.

I decided I wanted to give Marci's hair a fun color. I love the way the brown and the purple work together. I used Copic markers to color her. You will find the color combinations I used, later on in this post.

As, some of you know, this months Club Kit came with a camper die. I wanted a tent instead of the camper for this card. To make the tent, I cut one Double Stitched Square out of red cardstock. I cut the square die cut in half from point to point (now you have a triangle). I cut about 3/4 th of the way up in the center of the triangle and then rolled the sides back to look like it was an open tent. Then I glued the other half of the square die cut to the back of my tent.

I was so excited with my little tent creation!

The second card that I made today is a box card. I love this type of card. Especially since it will lay flat for mailing.

The Shine Bright Background Stamp goes perfectly with this month Club Kit theme. I stamped the stars on black cardstock using an embossing ink pad and then covered the ink with white embossing powder. It turned out beautifully!

The little creatures are colored with Copic markers. Here are the combos that I used...

 Moose: E29, E25, E33, E31, E51 Antlers: E31, E51, E50
Raccoon: W6, W5, W3, E29, E25, E31, E51
Bear: W10, W8, W6, W3

Look how nice and flat the card becomes.

You can have it folded so the animals are hidden or showing.

Just in case you missed this before, here is everything that comes with the August Club Kit

Unfortunately, you can no longer order this months kit. However, you CAN already sign up for the September Club Kit! It's sure to be just as, or even more amazing that this months kit!

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my post today. Hope you have a craftastic day!

Reneabouquets Fairy House

Hi everyone! Today I have a mixed media project to share with you. Oh this project. It has been a thorn in my side! Before I go on, I'll show you a picture of how it turned out.

I had a love hate relationship with this little house. Andrew built it in June. One day of girls camp for the 8-11 year old's was held at our house. Andrew made bird house kits for all the girls. He put one together so they would know what their house should look like when they were done putting it together. This thing has sat on my table since then.

I had originally wanted it to be Shabby Chic. I put a layer of Gesso on it and looked at it for days. I had no ideas. I tried painting bricks on it. NOPE. Didn't like it...covered it with Gesso. I decided to leave the house white and I painted the roof brown. HATED IT! On went another layer of Gesso...thank goodness for Gesso

I got ahead of myself and adhered the gears on the house before I painted and textured them and the house. It looked boring. So, I pried them off.

Keep in mind, this all happened over the span of two months. I would look at the house every day trying to figure out what I wanted to do with it.

Thankfully, I was finally inspired! It was Renea, she had posted a gorgeous layout in the DT group. As soon as I saw her layout, THE LIGHT TURNED ON!! The colors were perfect!

Once I had been inspired, there was nothing getting in the way of me working on this little house. (Except for drying time.)

It felt so good to FINALLY have the mojo to get going.

I painted the house brown using acrylic paint and a mostly dry paint brush to get that worn/streaky look.

I added texture to to the gears, by covering them with Tim Holtz Opaque Crackle Texture Paste, sprinkling Rose Gold Glass Microbeads over the top of that while it was wet and letting them dry. When the gears were dry, I painted them with Rusty Paper.

I covered the roof with duct tape and added little dots of hot glue to imitate bolts. After that, I added a layer of Gesso, let it dry, and then painted it with Rusty Paper.

The bricks were made using acrylic paint that I thickened with cornstarch and spread over the Tim Holtz Brick Layering Stencil

I am super happy with how my fairy house turned out.

Renabouquets has two challenges going on right now, in the new FB group
Magical Mood Board Challenge
Please feel free to come and play with us! You can enter either challenge using a new project you've created using any Renabouquets product.
