La-La Land Crafts Distressed Christmas Card

Good morning! How are you this fabulous Friday? I am doing good. Got to sleep in a little...the girls do not have school today. Also have a lot of fun planned for the day! Cleaning up the house some (I know that might not sound fun, but I actually like cleaning. Or even more, being in a clean space), going to the you pick farm to get a bunch of green beans to can, cleaning and canning the beans, some card making and getting ready to go hunting tomorrow. It's opening day of moose hunting season here in AK! Moose is our main source of meat. We use it the same way others would use beef. One moose will feed our family for a year or sometimes longer.

Anyways, enough about my Friday plans. Lets get on to the crafts! This week, the La-La Land Crafts design team is using the NEWEST RELEASE for our projects. You know I'm always happy to use NEW RELEASES!

I decided that I'd use the Jolly Elves Clear Stamp Set. These elves are just too cute!

I decided that I wanted to go a little vintage when I started coloring my elf.

I almost always color my images before I choose my papers. It seems kinda backwards if you ask me, but that's how I roll.

I used Copic markers to color my elf and the shadow behind him.

Copic markers
Skin: E11, E00, E000, E0000
Green: YG23, YG25, G94, G99
Tan: E33, E31, E51, E50
Lights: Y28, Y26, Y21
Shadow: C3, C1, C00

Layer, layers, layers! I love a card with layers. I used the Shine Bright Background Stamp and the So Many Dots Layering Stencils to create a couple of the layers you see here.

Add a few die cuts and a bow and VOILA! You have a gorgeous layered card!

Here's a complete list of La-La Land Crafts items that I used...

Thank you all for stopping by today. I hope you all have a craftastic weekend!
Hugs,
