La-La Land Crafts Black and Turquoise Card

Hi everyone!  How are you?!? I am happy it's Friday! So far this weekend holds no plans. Of course that will probably change, but for now, I am planning on some major craft time.

This week the La-La Land Crafts team is creating with black and turquoise. I love this color combo!

I knew what image I wanted to use as soon as I saw the theme. Darling Molli was perfect. I colored her with Copics. You will find the color combinations that I used below.

I used the So Many Dots Layering Stencil along with Tim Holtz Oxide Inks to create the background paper.

I filled the shaker with microbeads. Microbeads are my favorite for shakers. They are so tiny and roll so easy. I had forgotten how fun shakers are to play with! Hahaha! I must have sat there playing with the card for 5 minutes.

Reneabouquets Pegacorn Mini Canvas

Good morning! I hope your Monday is off to a good start. I know Monday's can be hard. My day is going to be a happy one. My husband comes back from his hunting trip. Him and some boys from work flew to Kodiak to hunt deer and goats. They've been gone since last Monday. The girls and I are all anxiously awaiting his return.

The swap for this month in the Reneabouquets Artists With An Edge Facebook Group was a mini canvas. I was super excited to participate in this.

I already had the Beautiful Board Pegacorn, so I got started right away.

I covered the Pegacorn in Ranger Ink clear Embossing Ink and then sprinkled white embossing powder on it. (My white embossing powder has gold sprinkles) After using the heat tool to set the powder, I set the Pegacorn aside.

I started making my canvas and Echo started falling in love. She kept telling me how beautiful it was and how badly she wanted it to hang in her bedroom.

I coated the mini canvas with gesso, dried it with my heat tool, put Tim Holtz Crackle Texture paste on with a heart stencil, dried it again, cut out a couple La-La Land Crafts Cloud Die cuts, and then used Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the cloud die cuts to make clouds on the canvas.

To finish the canvas off, I added mulberry flowers, glass beautiful beads, lace, beautiful board leaf skeleton, and beautiful beads. You will find links to all of the Reneabouquet products that I used below.

Echo liked the canvas so much that I decided to give it to her and make another one for my swap partner =)

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you all have a great week!

In the Pumpkin Patch with La-La Land Crafts

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I am a movin' and a shakin' today. Starting out with sharing this La-La Land Crafts Friday inspiration with you.

Our theme this week is In the Pumpkin Patch. Have you ever been to a pumpkin patch? In Washington, growing up, our family went to the pumpkin patch every year to pick out our pumpkins. It was so much fun. They had hay bail rides, games, animals a corn maze and snack.

Here in Alaska, there's a you pick farm which is kind of like the pumpkin patch, but very different. We have to pick the pumpkins early (usually) due to the freezing weather. We do go to their Fall Harvest party though. The kids have lots of fun.

I gave the plaid another try! I am loving how this turned out. I colored the jacket a light orange and then added the brown and orange stripes. Then I used the colorless blender marker to make stripes. I love how the colorless blender makes lighter tones of the colors I had used.

I am going to continue working on doing plaid and other clothing patterns. I usually turn to Pinterest to find clothes that inspire me.

For the curly ques on the pumpkins, I used the Balloons Die. I love how that turned out!

Reneabouquets Mixed Media Unicorn Canvas

Hi everyone! Today I have a mixed media canvas made for Reneabouquets to share with you.

This canvas was Pinterest inspired. Mine didn't turn out as well, but I know my unicorn lover is going to go crazy when she sees this.

Echo, my 7 year old, will get this as a Christmas gift this year. It will be perfect for her bedroom which we are in the process of redoing. In unicorns of course!

I hand drew the unicorn on the canvas with pencil and then went over it with a grey sharpie.

I added texture with a homemade texture paste and some stencils.

The mulberry flowers, handmade butterflies, beautiful board pieces, flatback pearls, beautiful beads, handmade dragonflies, glitter glass, and microbeads are all products from Reneabouquets

After attaching the embellishments on the canvas, I covered them in gesso to obtain soft pastel colors.

After that, I splattered paint all over the canvas. I had a lot of fun doing that!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Below you will find a list of all the Reneabouquets items that I used on my canvas.

La-La Land Crafts Halloween Treat Box

Good morning! It's Friday! I am so ready for the weekend! I am hoping to get lots of craft time in. I have a few projects that I have been putting off. It's high time I get them done!

Ready for your La-La Land Crafts Friday inspiration? This week we all made treat boxes!

I made a treat box using the Build A House Die set and following the Thursday Tutorial that design team member Martha did. You can find that HERE.

Creating these little treat boxes is so simple!

After the treat box was made, I decorated it using La-La Land Crafts dies and one of the little girls from the Happy Boo To You Clear Stamp Set.

I filled my treat box with Oreos. The one's that have the orange filling! They are so much better than the every day Oreos.

Now to decide who gets this adorable box!

Fall Leaves with La-La Land Crafts

Good morning everyone! This week the La-La Land Crafts team is doing a Fall theme.

I created the background using distress inks. I decided to go with a pinkish purple sunset. We had a sunset the other night that was pink and purple. It was absolutely stunning.

The stamp that I used is Coffee Break Marci. She is colored with Copic markers. You will find the color combinations that I used below.

La-La Land Crafts has lots of dies to use on Fall cards. I used the Birch Trees, the Spring Tree, and the Leaves Confetti dies
