Sand, Surf and Sun with La-La Land Crafts

Good morning! It's Friday! This week at La-La Land Crafts we are creating projects involving sand, surf and sun. Sounds a little bit like heaven to me. The ocean is my favorite place! We don't often have the chance to visit the ocean living where we do. It's been 4 years since I have been to the ocean. I am hoping our next vacation will be some place with a warm beach.

Any who...here is the card I made.

I used Summer Vacation Marci. She is perfect for a beach themed card. I colored her with Copic markers. You will find the color combos I used below.

I got a little creative Wood Rings Background Stamp and used it as the water for my card. It looks like rippling water to me.

Here's the links to the other La-La Land Crafts Dies that I used.

Rubbernecker Stamps Echo Card

Good morning! It's Monday and I am moving very slow after a week full of running around and cleaning! I did take most of the day yesterday and just sat and colored and rested. I have to do that from time to time or my Fibromyalga gets really mad!

Today, I am sharing a card made with Stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps. I combined the Tree Swing stamp and the little girl stamp is Echo

Echo is named after my baby! Well, she's not a baby anymore. She's 7! I'm not sure how that happened! I keep telling her to stop growing up. She says "Mom, it's not my fault! It's what God wants." Can't argue with that! Lol

Aren't the tiny butterflies on this card the cutest?! I cut them out with the Small Butterfly Die from Rubbernecker Stamps

As usual, I colored Echo and the scene with Copic markers =)

Thank you for taking time out of your day to come and visit! Have a peaceful Monday!

Hello everyone! This weeks La-La Land Crafts theme is Summer Boardwalk. I wasn't sure how to go about that, so I just made a card that resembles summer to me.

The sun, lots of pictures, picnics, floaties, and fishnets are all a part of our summers. Fishing is a huge thing in the summer here in Alaska. We also do a lot of hiking.

I colored Picnic Marci with Copic markers.

Hair: E49, E25, E00
Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, E0000
Dress and Shoes: 110, C8, C6, C4
Basket and Bow: E25, E33, E31

I used heart paper because everyone LOVES summer! Right?

I am not one of hot weather, but I do love the summers here. It is nice to be able to be outside and not freeze to death. Lol...something you may not appreciate unless you live in a place that is super cold in the winters.

La-La Land Crafts July 2018 Club Kit

Hi everyone! Today is the release of the July 2018 La-La Land Crafts Club Kit. I am soooooo in love with this kit! I mean, look at Marci. She is gorgeous!

Every month, the Design Team puts together tutorials for the Club Kit Subscribers. This month, I did my tutorial on this cute little gift bag. It was simple to make and a ton of fun to decorate with Marci and the adorable die cuts that come with the July 2018 Club Kit. Plus there is a Club Member only Facebook page where you can post your projects and get lots of inspiration from other subscribers.

I colored Marci with Copic markers.

The monthly Club Kits always value over $70.00! Kinda crazy when you only pay $39.99 a month plus shipping! You can also get just the stamps for $19.99 a month (plus shipping) or just the dies for $29.99 a month (plus shipping)

The second project I did is a card. This time I colored Marci's hair red. I love how you can make an image look so different just by changing up a few colors.

I had colored up one of the cute little fairies that come with this kit, but I lost it before I was able to get it on the card. I looked everywhere! Am I the only one that does that?

I L.O.V.E. this watering can die! Especially when it is colored up all rusty like this. I have fun adding rust to things with my Copics. I use E09, E08, E99, YR24 and the colorless blender.

I had little heart stickers that fit perfectly over the heart on the die cut.

Copic markers used

Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, E0000

Check out my unboxing video on youtube! I show you how I color Marci's dress and the watering can.

Let's Be Mermaids with La-La Land Crafts

Hi everyone! The Friday Team is up on the La-La Land Crafts Blog today. The theme is Let's Be Mermaids. How fun is that?! Great theme for summer time.

La-La Land Crafts has some SUPER CUTE mermaids! I used Sassy Mermaid Molli. She is my favorite mermaid out of the bunch.

I colored Sassy Mermaid Molli with Copic markers. I wanted to do something different in the way of hair color. I played around with a few colors and came up with RV69, V09, RV19, V04. I love how it turned out!

La-La Land Crafts also has the perfect dies for creating an under the sea scene. I used the Stitched Nested Circles Die set to create rocks.

Rubbernecker Owl Thinking of You Card

Oh my gravy! Have you seen the adorable new owl stamps at Rubbernecker Stamps?! I know I am one of many owl lovers out there. If you are one of them, GO TAKE A LOOK!

I created with one of the adorable owls today. This one is Epstein. He is so cute! I think it's the big eyes that get me. My girls have big eyes. They are just so expressive.

I colored Epstein with Copic markers and then fussy cut him. I cut two circles with the Nested Circle Die Cut Set adhered them together, and stamped the Thinking of You of you sentiment with Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.

Of course, I didn't have any patterned paper to go with my color choice, but with the  Distress Harlequin Background Stamp (from Rubbernecker Stamps) and a little Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink, that wasn't a problem.

I made the little flower with the Mixable Flower Stack Die from Rubbernecker Stamps.

Have you joined the new Rubbernecker Facebook Group? There you will find lots of fun and inspiration. Even some Facebook only discounts.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Fox Card - The Cutting Cafe

Good morning! Today I have inspiration from The Cutting Cafe. The design team is creating with the animal files. There are so many to chose from! I decided to go with the fox shaped card.

I remember when this file was just released. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. Since then, Regina has continued to awe me with her adorable files.

I cut the fox and pieces out with my Cricut Maker. I inked each piece and then glued them together.

Stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog to see what the rest of the design team came up with. If you leave a comment on that post, you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free Cutting Cafe files.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a craftastic day.

Red, White and Blue with La-La Land Crafts

Happy Friday crafting friends! I hope you all had a safe and happy 4th of July. We went to the parade and to the Mayor's Picnic (free hot dogs, soda, fruit, live music and more) It's always a good time. The day was so beautiful! Stupid me, didn't put any sunscreen on and was thoroughly enjoying the sun. Once we got home and I looked in the mirror, I was sorry I didn't think I was going to get burned. I now look like a red lobster raccoon!

This week the theme for our La-La Land Crafts inspiration is red, white and blue! Perfect since the 4th was Wednesday.

Nothing says red, white and blue like the American flag! Thinking of You Marci looks adorable up against the flag. She has such a sweet face.
