Scrappy Boy Stamps Three Little Pigs on the Beach Card

 

Good morning my friends! Can I just say, I am so ready for summer and beaches! We have a while to go before that is here in AK, but we are having a lovely start to spring. The snow is even melting rather quickly. It's almost all melted out of our front yard. Which is super exciting. 

I am here to share a card using a spectacular new set from Scrappy Boy Stamps! THE THREE LITTLE PIGS!! I freaking love this set!! I'll calm down...I feel like I'm yelling at you here. Lol

When I first saw this stamp set I thought hey! I can make a beach-themed card out of this. Then I saw the Fairytale Castle Mini Album Die Set and knew it had to be done. That die makes the most beautiful sandcastle! 

I was feeling lazy the day I made this and didn't want to color an entire scene. I went searching through my Scrappy Boy Papers and found the mermaid scales in the Pirates 6x6 Paper Pack. I thought that would make the perfect water if I flipped the scales upside down. Now it looks like tiny little waves or bumps in the water.

Scrappy Boy Stamps Cute Western Girls Shaker Card

 Good morning! Coming to you this morning with a shaker card using the newly released Cute Girls Western Girls from Scrappy Boy Stamps. 

Seriously, how cute is this little cowgirl?! I had a hard time choosing which cowgirl to use...they are all just too cute! Take a look at the entire set below...

The shaker mix I used is from Whimsy Stamps. I bought this a long time ago. When I decided to make a shaker card, I remembered I had this and was so excited. I added some pink sequins and teal microbeads to make it match the 6x6 Paper Pad.

Scrappy Boy Stamps Little Dudes Card

 Hello friends! I have a treat for you today! A card using the adorable Little Dudes Stamp Set! These Little Dudes are my favorite!! 

I seriously cannot get over how cute they are! 

I used the Candy House Mini Album Die Set (that was released with the Hansel and Gretel Stamp Set a couple months ago) for the Little Dudes cabin. You could even use this die set to make a barn if you wanted. 

I decided to decorate the cabin with wood, but you could also use rocks or bricks. Maybe even logs. So many possibilities!

Scrappy Boy Stamps Snow Princess and Prince Card

Good morning friends! I am popping in today to share another card made using the  

Snow Princess Stamp Set from Scrappy Boy Stamps. This stamp set has been so fun to play with! 

I love that you can add a little creative color placement to an image and make it look completely different. For example, I completely changed the eyes on the images. 

She looks so different with big blue eyes! 

Adding the eyes/creative color placement is something that I learned in Jenn Dove's Boot Camp. Creative color placement simply means adding color without changing any of the artist's drawn lines. Changing the artist-drawn lines is a big NO-NO. Unless, of course, you have permission from the artist.

Scrappy Boy Stamps Mirror, Mirror on the Wall Card

 Good morning! Have you seen the new Scrappy Boy Stamps release? If not you NEED to head over to their site! 

I mean... right after you are done here, of course!

For this release, I had the pleasure of working with the Snow Princess set and the Little Dudes set. 

This card features the Snow Princess set. You'll have to stay tuned for the card with the Little Dudes set. 

I loved coloring the Evil Queen! Mostly because purple is my favorite color, but also because I absolutely love coloring folds! And she has lots of them! 

I cannot get over how pretty this Magic Mirror Mini Album Die Set is. I cut the handle off of the mirror to make it a stand-alone mirror instead of a handheld mirror. Then, I put the Snow Princess in the mirror so it was like the witch was asking the mirror who the fairest one of all is. Of course, the answer is the Snow Princess!

Valia!! A genie to make all your birthday wishes come true! Wouldn't it be cool if she could actually do that?!? 

The She's a Dream Stamp Set is such a fun set to work with! I absolutely loved this show when I was a kid. The mom and her tricks on the son-in-law...that was my favorite. Takes me back to a simpler time. A lot of the Scrappy Boy stamp sets do. You should really check them out!

Scrappy Boy Stamps Heroes of the Universe Card

Hello friends! Today I have a boy...well, it could be a girl card too. I have a niece who LOVES Spiderman. We will just say it's a little more masculine than the cards I usually make. 

The card design, I cannot take credit for. I was inspired by Jennifer Dove. After asking her permission, I made a similar card. I just used a different image and different papers.

The Film Strip Die I used is from Whimsy Stamps. All the other cuts were done on my Cricut. It had been a long while since I pulled that thing out.

Good morning crafters! Popping in to share my 4th card using the Scrappy Boy Stamps Cinderella Stamp Set. I am never going to get tired of this set! 

I mean, check out the Cinderella Scene Builder Stencil and the Carriage Die that you can purchase to accompany these stamps. They are gorgeous! It's so simple to create a magical background with the Cinderella Scene Builder Stencil.

Scrappy Boy Stamps Cinderella and Prince Charming Valentine's Day Card

Good morning friends! I am back today with another card using the Scrappy Boy Stamps Cinderella Stamp Set . This one I created with Valentine's Day in mind. 

I used the Scrappy Boy Stamps Pirates 6x6 Paper Pack for this one. Weird I know, but this paper pack seriously has some great pappers that can be used for any occasion. 

To color Cinderella's dress, I used the same techniques that I used in this youtube video. https://youtu.be/INIDXKvOU1k I just used different color combonations. Step outside your comfort zone! Try this video in multiple combinations. You will be so happy with the outcome!

Scrappy Boy Stamps Magical Cinderella Card

 Hello friends! It's been a hot minute since I have crafted or written a blog post. My first grandbaby was born in March of last year. I have been spending lots of time loving and snuggling with her.

It's so nice to be doing a little bit of crafting again though. I will be doing some guest designing for Scrappy Boy Stamps and for Copictopia. I am super excited to work with both of these companies! 

Now, on to my first project for Scrappy Boy Stamps! 

It's Cinderella!! I absolutely love this New Cinderella stamp set! When Sean (owner of Scrappy Boy Stamps) and his design team saw this they wanted a video. I couldn't disappoint! Here it is! https://youtu.be/INIDXKvOU1k

In the video, I take you step by step through coloring this adorable image. Each color Copic marker is listed below and in the video description for you. If you don't have the colors I've used that's ok! Practice the techniques I've used with a different color combination. Play around and get to know your markers a little bit better. 

The papers I used for the card are from Scrappy Boy as well. They are so cute! 

I am a big fan of square cards. They make the perfect little canvas. I start out with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch white card base. I don't really measure anything from there. I just wing it. I know that will drive a lot of you crazy. Sorry about that.

Scrappy Boy You're Entirely Bonkers

Hello crafty friends. I am back with my last Scrappy Boy Alice in Wonderland themed card. Well, the last one for a while. I know I will be using these stamps again in the future. 

I have always loved how mischievous the Chesire Cat is. I also love his big eyes. The Scrappy Boy stamp doesn't have big eyes, but with a little bit of creative color placement, I was able to change that. It's amazing what you can do with these Copic markers! 

In the cartoon, he is pink and purple, but in the newer movie, he is teal and grey. I like teal and grey a lot better together!  

Coloring this card was sooooo relaxing! It was just mindless color placement. Not like some of the other backgrounds I do that take a lot of thought and work to put together. Art does not come easy to me. Lol...I have to put a lot of energy into it.

Alice In Wonderland Inspired Card with Scrappy Boy Stamps

Hello friends! I have my mojo back!! I could hardly stop putting ideas together with the Off With Their Heads and the Curiouser Stamp Set stamp sets from Scrappy Boy Stamps. I had seven card ideas put together before I stopped myself. I thought I'd better get going on some coloring. Haha 

I stamped the images on the paper and then I drew in the background with pencil. One thing to remember about drawing in backgrounds is to make sure that you do it very light. Once you go over the pencil with your Copic Marker, it is there forever.

 Hi! Back with another Scrappy Boy Card!! For this card, I used the Scrappy Boy Summer with My Gnomies Set.

 Hiya!! I am back with another Scrappy Boy Stamps creation! 

This time I used the I Can't Stop Singing set and Climb Every Mountain set. 

How fracking cute are these kids?!?! 

I colored these cuties with Copic markers. My favorite coloring medium. 

The paper I used is digital paper from GalleryTwelve on Etsy. I love using digital paper and Etsy has a ton of it. You can find papers for any occasion. 

I kept the card simple so the singers would remain the center of attention.

Scrappy Boy My Heart Wants to Sing

Hello friends!! I am guest designing for Scrappy Boy Stamps. Scrappy Boy Stamps is a new company owned by Sean Covert. Sean not only has cute stamps, but he is also putting out stamp sets that no other company has ever done! Just today his crew is sharing a sneak peek of a stamp set inspired by Gilmore Girls. I might have squealed out loud when I saw this set. I was home alone though...there's no proof. 

The stamp set I am showcasing here today is inspired by The Sound of Music. The first stamp set of its kind! 

I have a confession to make...I have never seen The Sound of Music. I LOATH musicals!! (I can hear your gasps just typing that) 

When I saw this cutie, I knew what I wanted to do with her right away, despite my lack of The Sound of Music knowledge. 

The scene came together easily. I love how peaceful she seems sitting there. I can almost hear the music and the running water. I could sit there with her and color all day.

Paper Nest Dolls Christmas In July With Scrapbook Expo 2021

Good morning friends! It has been a minute since I last posted. Things have been busy for Toadally Love to Craft! A Paper Nest Dolls retreat in Flordia (which included a family vaca to Universal Studios), virtual retreats, magazine publications, guest designing for Scrappy Boy Stamps, staining/painting our home, and getting things ready for Expo! 

Today, July 10th is the Scrapbook Expo Home Edition! It is also my birthday!! I digress...

For the Home Edition Expo, I made a little shaker ornament. This is super easy, fun, and oh so adorable! This would totally make an awesome kids' Christmas party craft.

Did you notice the top piece changed colors from picture to picture? Where the twine is for the hook? The paper I used is iridescent. I got it from packaging out of a box for toys or something. The paper kind of reminds me of a mirror. 

Anyway...the top didn't actually change colors. It's just the angle and lighting.
