La-La Land Crafts Shaker Card

Good morning! How are you? My house is eerily quiet today! I have one daughter in Greece, the other two at Girl Scout camp and the hubby is at work.

I should probably be doing something fun and enjoying my time, but instead, I have been knocking things off of my todo list. I am thankful for the time to do that. My list has been getting longer and longer, with little time to complete any of it.

Anyway, this week at La-La Land Crafts, we are playing with shaker cards.

Every time, I make one of these, I sit and play with it for longer than I would like to admit. There is just something satisfying about watching those tiny little beads roll around.

Reneabouquets Bee Shaker

Hi everyone! I have a fun project to share with you today. I made a shaker out of  Beautiful Board Honey Bee Loaded Card Tag or Frame from Reneabouquets.

I colored the Beautiful Board Bees with Copic markers.

Hot glue was the perfect medium to create honey. I was able to color the honey with Distress Oxide Ink once the hot glue cooled.

I love getting my hands messy with mixed media!

La-La Land Crafts 3D Project

Hi everyone! Today is Friday...the first day of summer vaca for us. My girls are sleeping in this morning. I promised that I would let them sleep as long as they wanted today.

On to today's project. This week we worked on 3D projects. I went to Pinterest to find a 3D card. I knew there had to be one that I had not made before.

I was right! This is a version of a box card. HERE is the tutorial that I followed.

This box card also lays flat for mailing. Just like versions I have made in the passed.

For the sentiment, I used the thinking of you from the Sympathy Clear Stamp Set

Enchanted Marci is colored with Copic markers. You will find the color combinations listed below.

Reneabouquets ATC

Good morning! How are you this fantastic Monday morning?!? Today is the start of a very busy week for the Goodwin's. Our oldest daughter is graduating from high school Thursday. A YEAR EARLY! I am so very proud of this girl. She is so determined. Her plan is to join the military. As a Mom, that makes me super proud, and if I am being honest, it scares the crap out of me. I am trying to focus on the proud more than the fear.

Here we go! Today's craft is an ATC. It has been a LONG time since I have made one of these baby's. When an ATC Swap was posted in the Reneabouquets Artist with an Edge Facebook group, I decided I should join.

I tore a page out of an old book and adhered it to a piece of chip board. Then I used distress inks to color the paper.

To color and texture the keys and gears, I used Prima's Rust Effect Paste. I used a combination of the Gold, Red and Brown Rust colors. These pastes give such incredible texture!

Before I colored the background paper, I had picked out this gorgeous butterfly. It fit perfectly with the distress inks and the brownish rust gears.

I had a lot of fun making this! Steampunk is one of my favorite styles.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret...in the future...I will be hosting a Steampunk Mood Board Challenge in the Reneabouquets Artist with an Edge Facebook group. 😄

Here's a list of Reneabouquets items that I used....

La-La Land Crafts Tropical Paradise

Happy Friday friends! This week we are creating Tropical Paradise projects for La-La Land Crafts. Doesn't that sound wonderful. I don't know about you, but I sure could use a Tropical Paradise vaca.

I used the new You Inspire Me Boackground Stamp Set to create the blue background. This stamp makes me think of water.

I used Copic markers to color the image and the die cuts. I know I have said this before, but I love, love, love how the die cuts look when they are colored verses cut out of colored paper. However, it does take more time to color them.

Below you will find a list of Copic marker combinations, stamps and dies that I used for this project. I am so glad that you stopped in to visit. You have a craftastic day!

La-La Land Crafts New Release Sympathy Card

Hello and happy Friday!! The La-La Land Crafts Friday team is working with the latest release.

I love the simplicity and elegance of this angel. I colored her with Copic markers.

The Sympathy Die cut is so pretty. I paired it with the Spring Tree Die because it reminds me of the Tree of Life.

It's hard to see, but I used the All About Lace Layering Stencils and picket fence distress ink to create the background paper.

I tried embossing with the stencil...I know it can be done but, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to emboss with my Cut 'N Boss.

Reneabouquets May 2019 Mood Board Challenge

Hi everyone! It's May first which means there is a new mood board challenge in the Reneabouquets Artists With an Edge Facebook Group

In case you are new to my blog, we do a mood board challenge every month in the Reneabouquets Artists With an Edge Facebook Group. Everyone who enters a new project using items from Reneabouquets, gets entered into a chance to win a Reneabouquets prize package at the end of the month.

Here is the kick off project that I made for this months challenge...

When choosing the mood board this month, I wanted something that made me think of Spring.

I saw all the colors in this mood board and knew it was the one. The bright colors is one of my favorite things about Spring.

The bright turquoise and pink popped out to me the most. So that's the colors that I decided to create with.

If you would like to join us for this months challenge, you can find the event here...https://www.facebook.com/events/2323947427851855/

Challenge Rules

1. Create a NEW project (on or off the page) that features ANY product carried in the Reneabouquets.com store or the Renebouquets Etsy Shop

2. Your project can be any style.

3. Add your project to the Reneqbouquets Artist with an Edge May Mood Board 2019 event by 12:00 am May 28th, 2019. Check back on the 30th to see if you have won the random drawing.
(Drawing is done on Facebook live or unedited video to ensure fairness)

4. Challenge is open to U.S. Residents and International
