All About Flowers with La-La Land Crafts

Happy Friday friends! It's time for some La-La Land Crafts inspiration. This week the theme is All About Flowers. Talk abut my kind of theme!

I used the Marci with Tulips Rubber Stamp for my inspiration card. I colored Marci with Copic markers. You will find the color combinations towards the end of this post.

I used the Rolled Rose Small Medium Die and the Rolled Rose Large Die to make the roses. These roses are so simple to make.

The Stitched Sun and Clouds Set is one of my favorite die sets. You can use it on almost every card!

Celebrating Birthdays with La-La Land Crafts

Good morning and happy Friday! Today at La-La Land Crafts We are celebrating birthday's. I decided that I would give Balloon Frenchie a go.

I hadn't colored one of the Frenchie Stamps yet, so I went to Pinterest for some inspiration. OMG!!! These dogs are so stinking cute! I am now trying to talk Andrew into buying me one. We will see how that goes =)

I made sure to give Balloon Frenchie wrinkles like I saw in the pictures. Adding wrinkles, folds and patterns is so easy to do with Copic markers. One of the reasons that they are my go to coloring medium.

All the dies I used for today's cards are from La-La Land Crafts. You will find them listed below with the Copic colors that I used.

Please pop in and join us in the La-La Land Crafts Facebook group. We have a lot of fun and you are sure to find lots of inspiration.

Rubbernecker Dinosaur Stamp Set

Hi everyone! Sharing a boy card that I made using some of the new stamps that are coming to Rubbernecker Stamps.  I am loving these little dinosaurs! They are perfect for any kiddo.

Making cards for boys is always a little harder for me. This one though, it was super simple! And a ton of fun.

Have you heard of Color Bursts? They are a powdered color that you watercolor with. I have had some for awhile, but I haven't played with them until I made this card. They are so much fun! Rubbernecker Stamps has several different sets of Color Bursts to choose from.

For the lava, I used watered down red acrylic paint.

Make sure to pop on over to the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog to see what challenges we have going on. You don't want to miss out on the chance to win free Rubbernecker products!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. You will find a list of all the Rubbernecker items that I used below. EXCEPT for the stamps. They will be in the shop soon!

Going to the Beach with La-La Land Crafts

Hello crafty friends! Today is Friday which means the La-La Land Crafts Friday team is coming to you with some great inspiration! This weeks theme is Nature.

There are so many different directions to go with this theme. I decided to go with a beach card. There is always lots of nature at the beach!

The Oceans of Joy Rubber Stamp was the perfect stamp for what I had in mind. I colored the stamp and the beach theme with Copic markers.

It's been soooo long since I have been to the beach. It has always been one of my favorite places. We spent a lot of time at the beach when I was a kid.

I really had a lot of fun with this theme/coloring. The scene was one of the Kit and Clowder monthly coloring classes a couple years ago. I have colored this one a couple times.

I have learned so much from the monthly classes at Kit and Clowder. I highly recommend them.

Reneabouquets Luna Dream Catcher Card

Good morning! It is Spring Break here in Alaska. Usually, I make the kids spring clean their bedrooms. This year we are taking on a different project. A bigger project! My craftroom! We are completely redoing my craftroom.

See, my craftroom has grown immensely over the last 10 years. I started out with one plastic dresser full of stuff and I would work on my dining room table. Then we moved to Alaska and my craft space grew a lot! I had a portion of the downstairs living room which consisted of my own table a dresser and a couple book cases. Now, I have my own room! I have had this room for almost 5 years. I have been so thankful for my space. It's not a very pretty space though. So, we are painting the walls and furniture (so I can at least make believe that it goes together). My husband is building some shelving too. I am so excited! I will share pictures of before and after in my Facebook Group Toadally Love To Craft once we are done.

Ok! On to today's card. When Renea released the Luna Dream Catcher I knew I had to work with it. It is such a unique and beautiful piece.

I had the perfect papers to go with Luna Dream Catcher. I glued the Beautiful Board piece onto the cardstock and then surrounded it with Reneabouquets beautiful flowers. (which I had died with ink sprays)

I used a Tim Holtz splatter pain brush to splatter blue paint over the card and the flowers.

Many more of Reneabouquets items were used to make this card. You will find a list below.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have a craftastic day!

Black and White with La-La Land Crafts

Hello! Hello! Hello! Today is Friday! Which means it's time for inspiration from La-La Land Crafts
The theme we were given this week was black and white. Easy peasy right?! Yeah, for me...not so much. I started out by making a book mark, but I didn't like it. Thankfully, my girls loved it and took it off my hands.

I decided to walk away and give it a little more thought. This is what I came up with...

I used the adorable Jaunty Luka Rubber Stamp. He looks like a little stud in his outfit.

I colored Jaunty Luka with Copic markers. I wasn't sure about the pattern I put on his clothes at first, but I think it's grown on me.

Here's a list of the La-La Land Crafts items that I used.

Rubbernecker Mini Hippo Stamp Set

Good morning! I hope you all had a nice, restful weekend.

Rubbernecker Stamps is going to be getting in new stamps this month! Let me tell you, there are soooo many must have sets! I am super excited to be able to share a sneak peak of one of the new clear rubber stamp sets.

When I saw this Mini Hippo set, I fell in love! The hippos have so much character. You can't help but smile when you look at them.

I colored the hippos with Copic markers and fussy cut them.

For this card, I was able to create matching background paper using the gift stamp in the hippo set. This is the first time I have made my own background paper. It was a lot of fun. You have tons of options.

To create the center piece for the hippos on the colorful card, I used both the Nested Circle Die Cut Set and the Nested Circle Scalloped with Holes Die Set

Be on the look out for this adorable stamp set and many more coming to Rubbernecker Stamps soon!

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a craftastic day!

Spring is Here! with La-La Land Crafts

Good morning! Today I am sharing a La-La Land Crafts card. The theme for the DT this week was spring. Aaahhh...Spring. That has a nice sound to it. Here in Palmer Alaska, we have about a foot and a half of snow. What's in the for cast for this weekend you ask? SNOW!!! So, spring is just something that I am daydreaming and crafting about =)

I used Picnic Marci for my spring card. Nothing says spring like picnics...and flowers. Can't forget the flowers. I used the Rolled Rose Small Medium Die to make the gorgeous roses. I love that die! The flowers are easy to make and take no time at all.

Picnic Marci is colored with Copic markers. You can find the combos I used below.

Of course I had to use the Stitched Sun and Clouds Set dies for my spring time. This is my favorite sun die of all time! When I saw it, I instantly fell in love.

Papernest Dolls March New Release

Hello! You all know that I love me some Papernest dolls, but this release has got me squealing with delight! It's all about babies! There is 16 new images! 16! I made two cards. One for a baby boy using the new Baby Owen W/ Bottle  and one for a baby girl using the new Baby Emma W/ Bottle

Baby Owen W/ Bottle  and Baby Emma W/ Bottle are so stinking cute. I colored each image with Copic markers and added a pattern to the bottles.

The diaper on Baby Emma's card, is a file from The Cutting Cafe. It is the Diaper Shaped Card

I cut the diaper, the rattles and the moon out with my Cricut Maker.

You should check out all the new images on the blog! They are the cutest!

I'm gonna run for now. Hope you all have a craftastic night!

Reneabouquets March 2018 Spring Mood Board Facebook Challenge

Good morning! We are already into March...March means spring right? Nope. Not here in Alaska. It means snow. At least this year it does. We had minimal snow all winter, but in the last couple weeks we have gotten about 2 feet of it. I don't mind though, I love the snow. It is so pretty, bright and sometimes, when the sun hits it just right, it sparkles like glitter.

I am ready for warm weather and pretty flowers, however. Which is the reason for the theme of the Reneabouquets March Spring Mood Board Challenge

For the challenge inspiration, I made a mixed media canvas using aprox. one ton of Reneabouquets items. Seriously though, take a look at the long list at the bottom of this post!

Here is the Spring Mood Board for the March challenge.

I was inspired by the flowers and soft colors in the mood board. Which is why I used tons of Reneabouquets Mulberry Paper Flowers.

I have been wanting to do an altered paint brush for the longest time. Not sure why I waited so long to do it, but I sure love how it turned out on this canvas.

I used many Reneabouquets Beautiful Board pieces, glitter glass, pearls, and butterflies. Every item used from Reneabouquets gives this piece endless charm.

To make the soft colors, I painted over everything with gesso. I did a couple of layers to achieve the look that I wanted.

After the gesso had dried I placed the Beautiful Beads Coppered Teal Iridescent Pearls on the canvas. I love these pearls! They are even more gorgeous in person than they are in the picture.

I was able to create lots of yummy textures on my canvas by using stencils, Ranger Tim Holtz Opaque Crackle Texture Paste and sand. I simply mixed sand straight into the Ranger Tim Holtz Opaque Crackle Texture Paste and then used the Ranger Ink Dina Wakley Media Palette Knife Set
to spread the mixture over the stencil.

The little dots you see here are made out of hot glue. Genius right?!? Yep, that was my 6 year olds idea. She is an artist herself. I love that she enjoys helping me with my projects.

Please come and join us in this fun Spring Mood Board challenge! You can find the event HERE in the Reneabouquets Facebook group.  The random winner will receive this prize package...
