The first one here is Lucky Linaya. She is named after my 14 year old.

And here we have Enchanting Echo. Anther one named after one of  my daughters =)

I colored the images with Copic markers.

KennyK Chemo Grad Card

Hello everyone! Tonight I have a special card to share with you. My Chemo Buddy is going to be graduating soon! He is going to be finishing up his Chemo treatments. Although I know there is more after Chemo, this step in the cancer journey needs to be celebrated.

I used Graduation Guy from KennyK Stamps. Esophagus Cancer's ribbon is periwinkle. I had to look up what color that was, but that was no match for my Copic markers =)
The sentiment comes from a custom stamp set that I had made at The Cutting Cafe Stamp.

.
I will be mailing this to him as soon as I get word from the Chemo Angels program that he is done.

Paper Beads With The Cutting Cafe

Hello there! Today I am taking a break from card making to play with the awesome Paper Bead Set from The Cutting Cafe

I decided to make necklaces for my girls.

I let the girls choose a charm from my stash.

I used a paper with a small pattern so that you'd be able to see it on the beads. Green for Kylah's necklace and pink for Echo's (their favorite colors). The Paper Bead Set comes with several different beads. I chose to use bead 3a.

They were super happy with their necklaces. They were so easy and quick to put together.

It was fun to do something a little different.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Please drop by The Cutting Cafe tomorrow to see what the rest of the DT did with their paper beads. If you leave a comment on that post you will be entered in a chance to win three free files of your choice from The Cutting Cafe.

I did something a little different, for me, and colored the image with 2 Copic combos. I was a little woried that I was going to hate it when I was done, but I think it came together quite nice.

There Are Angels Among Us With KennyK Stamps

When I saw Angel Aurora from KennyK Stamps, I HAD to have her. There's still two more angels on my wish list!

As I started making this card, I was thinking of my Mother-In-Law. She passed away a little over 6 years ago. She was my crafting buddy. She actually introduced me to Copic markers 10 years ago. When she told me how much they cost per marker, I told her she was crazy and I'd never pay that much for a marker. "I'm fine with my Crayola markers." I said. HAHAHA

When she passed away I inherited the 15 markers she had and discovered how incredible they are. I had to have my own set, of course. A little over a year ago my husband bought me a used set. I always wish she was here for me to talk to about how awesome these markers are! I'm not sure if she ever really got to learn to use them or not.

Linda, my Mother-In-Law, was crazy in love with the band Alabama. One of the songs the sing is "Angels Among Us". Which I thought was the perfect sentiment for this image.

For those of you who haven't heard this song here's a video of Alabama singing it...

I think of Linda any time I hear an Alabama song.

Granny, we miss you so much. Life just isn't the same without you. We still talk about the crazy things you'd do. Our memories of you bring on lots of laughter. I know you are up there watching over us. I love you, forever and always.

Happy Bee Day With The Cutting Cafe

Hi everyone! Are you enjoying the Super Bowl? I'm not a big football fan, but I do enjoy the family and food. The best part about it is that my Mom did all the cooking!
So here I set, all warm, full and working on my crafts. What could be better than that?!?

Ok, on to the crafts! I made this super adorable Bee-Day card using the Everyday Word Window & Shaker Set from The Cutting Cafe and the Bee Happy stamp set from Pink and Main.

I loved working with this file! As always, it was super easy and quick to put together. That is one of many reasons I love working with files from The Cutting Cafe

I filled the shaker with microbeads...my favorite shaker filling =)

The bees were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic markers.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy your Sunday! Remember to stop by The Cutting Cafe  on the 7th to check out the Dt's inspirational post. If you leave a comment on that post, you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free  Cutting Cafe files of your choice.
Hugs,

Fight Like A Girl GDT Card For KennyK

I'm back again today with another KennyK GDT card. I know you all have seen me use this fighting image before...more than once. Well, that is because it is my all time favorite KennyK image!

She is the perfect image to use as a source of strength if you are fighting...anything, but especially cancer. My sister has chosen her as mascot for her fight against lung cancer.

Breast Cancer Fighting Digi Stamp is her official title, but she can be used for ANY fight.
I colored her with Copic markers, but for those of you who don't color, KennyK sells her colored as well.

I started out with pink flowers. These are very pretty, but I wanted them to pop a little more.

So, I took my Tim Holtz, picked raspberry, Distress Ink and inked the petals a little.

It really brings them to life doesn't it!?!

The papers I used for my card, I got off of Amazon. They have a few different breast cancer sets.
The lace is from Pamela Joys Art Friends on Facebook and the gorgeous butterfly is from Renea's bouquets.

I know many people are fighting this fight against all different kinds of cancer. My hope and prayer is that some day a cure will be found. Until then I do what I can to lift the spirits of cancer patients through a wonderful program called Chemo Angels.  I encourage you to check into Chemo Angels if you are going through chemo or just want to help someone who is going through chemo. Fighting cancer is a very long, hard and often times lonely experience. It doesn't take much to brighten someone's day =)

I am putting this card in my Toadally Love To Craft Etsy Shop today. If you would like a card similar to this, but for a different cancer or color you can contact me through the Etsy shop.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a fabulous day!
Hugs,
        Tina
