Happy Halloween!! New Color It, Create It, Show It Off Challenge

Happy Halloween every one! I love Halloween. It's so much fun to dress up and pretend with the kids. I'm not gonna lie...I love eating all of the kiddo's candy too!

Today is the start of a new Color It, Create It, Show It Off Challenge
Here's the card I made to inspire you.

I used My Bestie image IMG734. You can find her Sherri Ann Baldy's Etsy Shop. I colored her with Copic markers I didn't keep track of the colors I used this time. I'm so sorry. (Hanging head in shame)

The bats come from two different Cricut image sets. A Frightful Affair and Teresa Collins, Chic and Scary. I added tiny red bling for their eyes.

The lace is from Gone Artsy and the pretty sparkly lined paper is from The Cutting Cafe Shop. It's a 6x6 paper pad from My Minds Eye.

I hope you will stop by and enter our new Color It, Create It, Show It Off Challenge. You can use an image from any artist.

Have a spooktacular day!

Breast Cancer Awareness With The Cutting Cafe

Hello! I'm back with yet another Breast Cancer Awareness project.
This time I have used a file from The Cutting Cafe called Breast Cancer T Shirt Printable Set.

I made two different t shirts with the same file. I cut the shirts out with my Cricut Explore and then added ribbon to them. Aren't they the cutest!?!

One the inside I used a stamp from a custom set I had made at The Cutting Cafe Shop.

Here's a picture of the entire Chemo Grad set. This set is great for making cards for any type of cancer.

The Cutting Cafe has lots of different files for Breast Cancer Awareness or for making gifts for people you know with breast cancer. Just in case you'd like to some shopping here's the link...http://thecuttingcafe.typepad.com/the_cutting_cafe/breast-cancer-stamps/

Please stop by The Cutting Cafe on the 21st to see the DT's inspirational post. If you leave a comment on that post, you will be entered to win 3 free Cutting Cafe files of your choice.

Thank you for stopping by today. Don't forget to do your self breast exams
Hugs,

Breast Cancer Awareness With Paper Nest Dolls

Hi everyone!

It's that time of year again.. Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Unfortunately, this disease has touched us all in one way or another.

Early detection of breast cancer is key in saving lives.
Here is the instructions on how to do a Breast Self Exam
We are encouraged to do these exams monthly.

The project I made today is for all of you fighting this fight...weather you are fighting yourself or fighting right along side with someone you love.

The image I used today is Fight Digi Stamp from Paper Nest Dolls. I colored her with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from a custom stamp set that I had made at The Cutting Cafe Shop.

Fighting cancer is a cause I hold very close to my heart, as many of my family members have fought  this awful disease. I chose to honor my loved ones by becoming a Chemo Card Angel. Chemo Angels is an incredible program.  You fill out an application and they pair you with someone that has similar interests as you. Then you send cards and small gifts to lift the spirits of your Chemo Buddy who is currently going through chemo. There are different types of Angels. Chemo Angels, Card Angels, and Prayer Angels.  They even have Senior Angels. I currently have two Chemo Buddies through Chemo Angels. I find being a part of this program very rewarding. I have been able to walk through this journey as a Card Angel with four people. It has been a blessing.

If you know anyone who is going through chemo or will be going through chemo, please share Chemo Angels with them. See if they would like to sign up to be a Chemo Buddy. There is an application on the Chemo Angels site.

Copic markers used
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11
Pinks: R81, R83, R85
Whites: C00, C1

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have been inspired to create an awareness project of your own.
Hugs,

Newly Released Paper Nest Doll Image Snowman Avery

Hello, crafty friends.
I'm in the mood for Christmas. I'm already counting down the days...70.
70 days left until Christmas!

Today I have a Christmas card made with a brand new image from Paper Nest Dolls.

The image is Snowman Avery. I colored her with Copic Markers.

I made the stocking banner by cutting out a stocking (a Cutting Cafe file) with my Cricut Explore. I used the cardstock pieces as a pattern on mulberry paper. Once I had all the mulberry pieces torn out, I glued them together and made a banner by sewing the stockings together. I love the fuzzy look of the mulberry stockings.

Thanks for stopping by to visit. I'm heading back into the craftroom to work on my Christmas cards! See ya later!

You & Me From Paper Nest Dolls

Good morning crafty friends!
Today is my first time up on the Paper Nest Dolls blog.

The card I am sharing today is the card I made for my husband for our anniversary.

Oct. 1 we celebrated 12 years! I must tell you that I am the luckiest girl alive.
Andrew is an amazing man. I don't know what I'd do without him.

Ok, enough of the mushy stuff...

The image I used is You and Me. You can find this stamp in the Paper Nest Dolls store.

I colored the stamp with Copic markers.

I glued egg shells on watercolor paper to create texture. Once the egg shells were dried I sprayed the watercolor paper with purple ink.

The lace and large white flower I used are from Gone Artsy
The adorable little purple butterflies were a gift from my super sweet friend Patty.
The chipboard brick die cut is from Renea's Bouquets and the mint colored flowers are from Lavish Laces.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a craftastic weekend!

Getting Ready for Halloween With The Cutting Cafe

Hi there! We are getting ready for Halloween over at The Cutting Cafe.

I used the Spider from the Spider Treat Cup card to make a necklace and earrings for my Mrs. Frankenstein. (I got the idea for the Frankenstein people from Pinterest)

My daughter, Kylah, my husband, Andrew and I worked on these together. I love it when I can get the family involved in my projects!

This was a super fun project! It cost approximately $50 to make these.

Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget to stop by The Cutting Cafe tomorrow (OCT. 7th) to see the rest of the DT's inspiration projects. If you leave a comment on that inspirational post, you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free choice.
Have a great day!

I have some super exciting news for you today, but first I'd like to wish you a happy World Card Making Day! Who's making cards today?! ME!
My exciting news...there is a new release of Paper Nest Dolls today! These images are totally adorable!
AND...I am the newest member of the Paper Nest Dolls Design Team!! I could not be more excited!

Ok, on to business! Here is the card I made for today's new release.

I am using Owen with Motorcycle. You can get him as a rubber stamp or a digital stamp.
The digi stamp comes with our without the teddy bear and the rubber stamp has the bear as a separate stamp so you can choose to use the bear or not.

I fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it. I had a very special little boy (that is fighting cancer) in mind while making this card =)

I colored the digi with Copic markers.

Here's a look at the digi stamp with no teddy bear.
