Paper Nest Dolls Christmas In July With Scrapbook Expo 2021

Good morning friends! It has been a minute since I last posted. Things have been busy for Toadally Love to Craft! A Paper Nest Dolls retreat in Flordia (which included a family vaca to Universal Studios), virtual retreats, magazine publications, guest designing for Scrappy Boy Stamps, staining/painting our home, and getting things ready for Expo!

Today, July 10th is the Scrapbook Expo Home Edition! It is also my birthday!! I digress...

For the Home Edition Expo, I made a little shaker ornament. This is super easy, fun, and oh so adorable! This would totally make an awesome kids' Christmas party craft.

You can find the video tutorial HERE...https://www.facebook.com/SCRAPBOOKEXPO/videos/353505146160760

COPIC COLORS

White: C5, C3, C2, C1
Cheeks: R30
Arms: E27, E23
Nose: YR09, YR07, YR04
Hat and Scarf: BG15, BG11, BG10, BV08, BV04, BV02

Did you notice the top piece changed colors from picture to picture? Where the twine is for the hook? The paper I used is iridescent. I got it from packaging out of a box for toys or something. The paper kind of reminds me of a mirror.

Anyway...the top didn't actually change colors. It's just the angle and lighting.

I cut all the pieces with my Cricut. I created the shaker frame in Design Space using a Cricut image. You can find the link to the project HERE... https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/60d7e435ca8c560e7c9580bc

Today through Friday, July 16th use the coupon code Expo20 to get a 20% discount on all orders!!

When you are done with your ornament please share it with us in the Paper Nest Dolls Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/papernestsdolls/

Thank you for popping in for a visit! Have a TOADALLY craftastic day!!

La La Land Crafts Luka's Stocking

Merry Christmas everyone! I am so excited for Santa to come! My husband and I stay up late setting up the gifts and stockings. Then we go to bed and lay there talking about how excited we are and end up waking the kids up at 3 or 4 in the morning.

In the spirit of Christmas, I made a stocking card for La La Land Crafts Friday inspiration.

I used the Christmas Sweater Luka stamp. Which is just perfect for a stocking.

I colored Christmas Sweater Luka with Copic markers

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000
Hair: E29, E25, E11
Jeans: B99, B97, B95, B93
Stocking: R89, R29
Sweater, (tree, Y11, YG25 R29) Hat, and Boots: 110, C10, C7, C6, C5
White Fluffy Parts: C3, C1, C000 and white gel pen

I love this Pretty Poinsetta die! It pairs perfectly with the Shabby Flourishes die. I cut the Shabby Flourishes into pieces and made a little leafy arrangement for the Pretty Poinsetta

The stocking is made from Mulberry paper. I love how it looks fluffy like a real stocking. The checkered fabric was in my scrap stash.

This might just be my favorite Christmas card of the year!

Christmas Sweater Luka is so stinking cute!

Sweet As Pie - With The Cutting Cafe

Boy do I have a treat for you! A big 'ol slice of Pumpkin Pie!

The Cutting Cafe design team is working with the Pie Slice Box. I used parts of the box to create a slice of pie. I thought it would make a cute card. I was right!

I found the plate in Cricut Design Space. Both the plate and the pieces for the pie were cut with the Cricut Maker.

The sentiment comes with the Pie Slice Box

I found a tiny fork in my stash. Perfect for a slice of pie!

The whip cream was done with a snow writer. I used a paint brush to spread it on a piece of card stock.

I'd better run for now. Gotta lots of things to do before Christmas! Pop in at The Cutting Cafe Blog and leave a comment on the DT inspirational post and you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free files of your choice.

See you again soon.

May Your Christmas Be Merry and Bright - With The Cutting Cafe

Good morning! We are focusing on Christmas this week at The Cutting Cafe

I used a couple of different files to make this card. The Christmas Tree Trio Shaped Card and the

The sentiment is one that comes with the Christmas Tree Trio Shaped Card file.

I used the individual trees from the Christmas Tree Trio Shaped Card to create a little forest. Each tree was cut out with my Cricut Maker, inked with gathered twigs distress ink and then sprinkled with dry embossing powder.

The white dry embossing powder is a great addition to any project you would like snow on.

I made the snowflakes from the Snow Flake Shaped Card. Each snowflake is less than an inch big and was cut out with the Cricut Maker. They cut out perfectly.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you will stop by The Cutting Cafe Blog to see what the other design team members made. If you leave a comment on the inspirational post, you will be entered in a chance to win three free files of your choice.

Have a craftastic day! See you again soon =)

Hugs,

Let It Snow Card with Rubbernecker Stamps

Good morning! Did any of you have a hard time getting up and moving after a four day weekend? I sure did. I'm exhausted after cooking, shopping, doing a bazaar and cleaning up.

Anyhow, I'm coming to you with a project from Rubbernecker Stamps

I am in love with this vintage snowman! In the Rubbernecker shop you will find him under the name Snowman with Pot Hat 965.

I stamped the Snowflake Panel 482 with Ranger Embossing Ink and then sprinkled it with dry embossing powder. I also sprinkled dry embossing powder on the Snowman with Pot Hat 965.

I colored Snowman with Pot Hat 965 with Copic markers.

Snowman:
Scarf: B99, B97, B95, B93
Pot and Boots: W10, W8, W6, W3
Bird: Y11, B95, BG53
Twig: E25, E31

I used Tim Holtz distress ink Gathered Twigs to ink the edges of my papers and then distressed them. I love how this card turned out!

Reneabouquets Shabby Chic Christmas Tree

Good morning! My Aunt recently gave me some old Christmas decorations. In them was a plastic cone. Immediately, I thought of a Christmas tree. What could be better than a Christmas tree?  A Shabby Chic Christmas tree of course!

And the perfect place to get all of your Shabby Christmas tree decorations? Reneabouquets! The Beautiful Bits - Shabby Hearts and Beautiful Bits - Stars make perfect ornaments.

I used four of the beautiful laces that Reneabouquets carries and layered the plastic cone with them.

I had to add a couple Shabby Pink Roses Glitter Glass Butterflies and Sweet Pea Glitter Glass Butterflies butterflies too. They were the perfect finishing touch.

My six year old told me that my tree didn't look like a Christmas tree at all. "Maybe a Valentine's tree" she said.

Either way, I love how it turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a craftastic day!
Hugs,
        Tina
