Faery Ink Guest DT Application

Hello crafty friends! About a month ago I stumbled across an image from Faery Ink. I have fallen head over heals with these gorgeous images! Today I am applying for their Guest Design team with a card that I made using Holiday Tree Destiny.

Isn't she just GORGEOUS!?! I find her eyes memorizing.

I have colored her with Copic markers.

I found Faery Ink images in the Facebook group Kit and Clowder.

2) What are your top 3 Faery Ink images? Why?
My 3 favorite images are Coco Marshmallow Fae (this may sound silly, but I love the cup in this image. It reminds me of a coffee cup my Dad always drank from before he passed away), Holiday Tree Destiny (I love her long flowing hair and her eyes),  and Destiny Snow Faery (again, I love her eyes and those adorable little polar bears).

I am currently on 7 design teams.

6) How many projects do you need to complete each month in order to satisfy your obligations to your other design teams?
I get to do 14 assignments a month to satisfy my dt obligations. I know that sounds like a lot, but I always have my assignments done early or on time =)

7) Would you be open to a long term spot on the team?
Not at this time.

8) Is there a month between December 2015 and November 2016 that you will be unavailable to be a guest designer?
Nope, I am completely open =)

Bestie Snow Day Ever

Hi everyone! Today I am up on the Scrapbook Stamp Society Blog using the adorable

Let me tell you, this image goes perfectly with the weather we are having here in Alaska.
It is SUPER cold and we are getting lots of snow.

I colored up this little cutie with Copic markers.
Speaking of coloring...Did you know that coloring is actually a great stress reliever for adults?
I always jokingly tell my husband that coloring is my therapy. It wasn't until just recently that I read that it is actually helpful and used to help cancer patients and more.
You can read a little more about that HERE and HERE.

So, not only is Sherri Ann Baldy providing us with toadally cute images, she is helping us relax and reduce our stress. THANK YOU SHERRI!!!

Snowflakes are Cricut images that were cut out with my Cricut Explore.

This gorgeous blue butterfly is from Renea's Bouquets. The flowers are from Gimpz of Memories

Don't wait! Go shopping at the My Bestie Shop and start coloring. It's good for your health!

Hugs,
         Tina

Steampunk Snowman Layout

Hello! I finally finished the 4th page of my husbands scrapbook.
I'm a bad wife! I was supposed to have the entire book done Oct. 1st.
Thankfully my husband is a very patient man =)

I used the My Bestie Steampunk Snowman image. He is colored with Copic markers.

The gears were out with my Cricut and then distressed with Tim Holtz rusty hinge, wild honey ad gathered twigs distress inks. I used a spellbinders embossing folder for the background and distressed using the same colors of distress inks.

I am going to get this scrapbook finished...SOMEDAY!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a craftasic day!

Glitter My Bestie Bulbs For SVG Saturday

It's SVG Saturday on the My Besties Facebook page.
This week I made glitter bulbs with my 4 year old.

I found some Glitter-it a few months back at Walmart, on clearance.
I followed the instructions on the back of the Glitter-It to make these bulbs.
It is super easy. Wash the bulb with a water/vinegar mix, dry, add Glitter-It and coat the inside, let it drip for about 10 seconds, then add glitter and shake it up.

Echo (my 4 year old) picked the colors of glitter and held the bulb while I poured in the glitter.

I was so excited to see that it had snowed the night I got these done.
It made for some really pretty pictures.

Here's a list of the SVGs I used...

Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you've been inspired to have some crafting fun with your little ones.

Getting Ready For Christmas With The Cutting Cafe

This week at The Cutting Cafe the Design Team got to choose any file we wanted.
I love these kind of weeks. The team always comes up with some amazing projects.

I decided to start getting ready for Christmas with my projects.
FYI...Christmas is sneaking up on us! Only 7 weeks, which is 52 and 1/2 days.  HERE is an official Christmas Countdown Clock just in case you can't keep your day's straight like me.

Ok, on to my projects. I made a gift bag using the Gift Bag - Large file.
This bag is crazy easy to put together. The best part about this file is that you can use it for ANY occasion. Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Just Because, Baby Showers, House Warmings...you get the idea.

The gorgeous papers I used are designed by Shellie Geigle. You can find them and the 2 other fabulous paper packs that she designed at J&S Hobbies and Crafts
These papers are AWESOME quality.

I couldn't find a snowflake border that I liked in Cricut Design Space so I made my own using different snowflake images. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz gathered twigs Distress Ink and then embellished the snow fakes with flat back pearls from Glitz N Glam Girly Boutique.

I used seam binding from Gone Artsy to make the bow.

The holly is a die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix. The set is called Holiday Greens.
I embellished the holly with tiny red puff balls.

Because I LOVE Christmas, Regina's files and these papers from J&S Hobbies and Crafts so much I had to do a second project. For this one I used the 3D Christmas Ornament Set

This is another super easy project. I love how they turned out. The file also comes with a box for your ornaments. Since I will be keeping these myself, I did not make the box. I will store them with the rest of my Christmas decor.

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to check out the Design Team inspiration post on The Cutting Cafe blog on the 7th. If you leave a comment on the post you will be entered to win 3 free Cutting Cafe files of your choice.

Have a great week!

Dia Di Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Hi everyone! I attempted something a little different today.
I was given a face and challenged to draw Day of the Dead make up on it.

Dia Di Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday. It's a holiday where loved ones who have died are prayed for and remembered. You can ready more about it HERE if you'd like.

This took me out of my comfort zone. I do not draw very much. Thankfully, the hard part, the face, had already been drawn. I did the rest...even the hair. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Thank you Ady for the challenge.
