La-La Land Crafts New Release Relax Unwind Clear Stamp Set

Good morning! I'm back with my second project for the La-La Land Crafts new release. This project was made using the Relax Unwind Clear Stamp Set. The critters in this set are adorable! 

This card was super simple to make. I found two different patterned papers, cut them down to the size I wanted and then matted them with a coordinating solid cardstock. Then adhered them to the card base. I cut a coordinating rectangle and adhered it to the patterned paper as shown.

I stamped the image with Memento ink (works well with Copic markers) and then colored the stamp with Copics. Then I fussy cut the image.

I cut two stitched circles using the same size die. On the white circle, I cut along the stitches to make it a tad smaller. I adhered the circles together, white one on the top. Then I adhered the image to the circles and put the circles on the card using foam squares for a little added dimension.

 Finally, I cut one set of Candles, one Enjoy and one Spa Set and attached the die cuts as shown.

La-La Land Crafts March 2019 New Release

Good morning friends! La-La Land Crafts is having ANOTHER new release! I just love how often they put out new stamps and dies! 

So, for the next three days, you will be seeing a post from me and the rest of team Friday. Get your cuppa and get ready for some inspiration! 

The first new stamp set that I worked with for the new release is Hippos in Paradise Clear Stamp Set. These hippos are so cute! The fact that they are on the beach make them even better. The beach is my favorite place ever! 

I started out by coloring the scenery and then moved on to the hippo. Copic markers was my choice of medium. You will find all of the markers that I used listed below. 

 My Anchor Background Set was used to create the pattern on the swimming trunks and the patterned background paper. La-La Land Crafts has several Background Stamps now. I am excited to see this section expand. 

I used several dies on this card (listed below). I am finding that I really like to cut white dies and color them with my Copic markers. It really changes the way they look.

La-La Land Crafts Feb 2019 Club Kit

Good morning! It's Tuesday, but I have been able to enjoy sleeping in the last couple days. It is spring break here in Alaska. So far today, it has snowed and rained.

La-La Land Crafts Darling Molli with Sloth

Good morning! How are you this fine Friday? I am good! Excited to be teaching my second coloring class today.

We are on our third week of using the new release for La-La Land Crafts. I decided to put one of the new sloths with one of my favorite older stamps, Darling Molli. Don't they look adorable together?!?

I've used the new heart stencil behind the images. I very lightly inked the paper with distress inks. OH! I need to try this stencil with embossing powder! I bet it would look amazing! 

I have tried different color combos for the sloths. I think this one is my favorite. You can find the colors I used listed below.

Reneabouquets Pegasus

Good morning! I am excited to share today's project with you! A magical mixed media Pegasus. 

My daughter, Echo, just had to have this Pegasus. So, we bought it. She immediately started working on it. She got as far as coloring eyes on it and part of the tail. Then it sat in my craft room for six months. I finally asked her if I could decorate it for her. She was super excited about that. 

I started by putting a few coats of gesso on it. Echo had colored on the Pegasus with Sharpies. The color just kept soaking through the gesso. I decided that I wasn't going to fight that after about 4 coats of gesso. Thankfully, the dark colors did lighten quite a bit. 

Once the gesso was dry, I went crazy adding flowers. You know I love me some Reneabouquet flowers! 

Next, I added the Beautiful Board Heart Bits, Skeleton Leaf Bits, and the Small Butterfly Flourish. Then it was time to add a little texture to the wings and hooves. I first put down a layer of Mod Podge and then sprinkled it with Teal Glass Microbeads. After the first layer of microbeads was dry, I added another layer. 

More drying time! This is the worst part. I am so impatient! 

Once the Mod Podge and microbeads were set, I gave the entire Pegasus one more coat of gesso. After that was dry, I added the butterflies and the Beautiful Beads Unicorn Candy Iridescent Pearls.

Reneabouquets March 2019 Mood Board Challenge

Good morning! It is the first day of the month which means that there is a new mood board challenge going on in the Reneabouquets Artists with an Edge Facebook group. 

Here is the card that I made to kick off the challenge. 

It's amazing to me how fast my projects come together when I am crafting with items from Reneabouquets. It all just seems to fall into place. 

Renea's designs are just so inspiring! 

Look at the details on this butterfly! It looks like it's real! 

I used ranger embossing ink and embossing powder to give the Beautiful Board April in Paris Doily  a aged gold look. 

Ok, on to the mood board! We are thinking green this month. Choose something from the mood board that inspires you. Maybe it's color, maybe it's texture...whatever it is, let it guide your creativity!

La-La Land Crafts Sloth Card

Hello there! Happy Friday! We are working with the new release from La-La Land Crafts again this week. Of course, I am happy to use this adorable Sloth Set again!

I was able to make both of my background papers using items from the new release. One with the Hearts Harlequin Layering Stencils and the other using the coffee ring stamp in the Java Nice Day Clear Stamp Set.

I used distress ink to stamp the coffee ring and then smeared the ink around with water and a paint brush. After that, I dripped ink on the paper and then dripped water on top of that. I then took a paper and soaked up the extra water and ink. I set the paper aside and worked on something else until the paper was dry.
