Ocean with La-La Land Crafts

The ocean is probably my favorite place on Earth! So when I saw the theme for this weeks assignment, I was super excited.

La-La Land Crafts has TONS of stamps that are perfect for ocean themed projects. My first thought was to head for the Jaws Because Clear Stamp Set

I was in love with this set when it was first released. It's been a long time since I have used it. It's just as adorable as I remember.

To create the background scene, I stamped the sand, anchor and plants on the cardstock. Then I used the Water Ripples Layering Stencil, the My Anchor Background Stamp Set and Distress Inks. I blended three colors of Distress Inks. Black Soot, Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood.

Once the waves were on the cardstock, I colored the sand, anchor and plants. I then adhered the colored sharks and the dies. (the clouds were in my stash of cut dies. I had used the colored clouds as a stencil for a previous project. I loved the way they looked on this card.)

After the sharks were adhered, I used white paint and a paint brush to make the top of the waves look foamy.

Overall, I am happy with how this card turned out. I have been in a crafting funk for quite some time. I am hoping that my mojo has come back!

Thank you for stopping by to visit. Below you will find a list of La-La Land Crafts items and the Copic markers used for this card.
