Fight Like A Girl Chemo Bag

Hi everyone!
I am back today with a very special project.
I have made a chemo bag for my little sister. She was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.
Her chemo treatments will start on the 31st of this month.

The idea behind the bag, is that she can carry items to keep her busy during her chemo appointments.
She got lots of Adult coloring books and coloring mediums before she had surgery.
I'm sure it will be stuffed full of that!

I was able to put this beautiful KennyK Stamps image on the bag by printing it, coloring it, scanning it into my computer and then printing it out on an iron on transfer and then ironing it on.

I colored the image with Copic markers.

Here's a picture of the iron on transfers I used.

I painted ribbons and an inspiring word on each pocket.

While making this project, I learned that it is better to take a picture of the colored image than to scan it into the computer. When I scanned it, it whitewashed the colored image. That doesn't happen when I take a picture of an image and then print it out.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great night!

  7. Awesome and so thoughtful! I have the same problem, I do better taking a photo of my image, my scanner does a poor job. Photoshop will enhance the color and take out the gray.
