La-La Land Crafts Let It Snow

Hi there! Only 16 days until Christmas! Are you ready? I'm not. I never am. Hahaha


I am always so excited for the Christmas season. Every year during this time we try to do more service as a family. We often volunteer at the May-Su Special Santa Program here in the Valley. What I love most about this program is that it is for the families right here where we live. Last year they were able to help 3500 kids. That’s amazing! On Saturday my two younger girls and I volunteered for four hours. It’s actually a lot of fun. It’s like shopping but you don’t have to spend any money. You pick out gifts for a child and then they are put aside until the family can come pick them up. 

We also volunteer every year on Christmas Day at the community Friendship Dinner. We usually help clear tables, poor coffee and water and just talk to people. Serving Christ’s children on His day is so good for the soul. 

On to today’s card!! Today is my day to post on the La-La Land Crafts Blog. I decided to go with an image that we colored at the October 2019 Copic Boot Camp. I love the scenery! Winter Molli looks like she is in Alaska. 

  

Notice the white sun. The sun often looks white here, during the winter as it peeks through the fog and the clouds. 


To give the effect of falling snow, I used the Snowy Hills Layering Stencil art. The one with the dots looks like snow. I placed the stencil over Marci and used a chalk crayon for the snow.

La-La Land Crafts Waiting For Santa

It's Black Friday!! Did you go out shopping or stay in your jammie and wait for Cyber Monday? It's been snowy, rainy, cold and windy here in Alaska. The weather seems a little Bipolar, but I went out shopping anyway. 

Before I did though...I sat down and had me some craft time! 


Working on more Christmas cards. This one here is made with Waiting for Santa Marci. I wanted her to have a cute Christmas Sweater so I went to Pinterest. I searched Christmas sweaters for women. 


There as so many options! One with Ho Ho Ho on the front poped up. I really liked it. I did change the sleeves though. They were plain. 


I am totally in love with the NEW CHRISTMAS PAPERS that La-La Land Crafts put out with the last release. The quality is amazing and I love the colors and patterns.

La-La Land Crafts Dear Santa

Good morning! It is once again Friday and the La-La Land Crafts team is working with the new release items again this week. I love it when we are able to continue playing with the new releases. It gives me a chance to work with some of the stamps I was not assigned.

I was dying to color Santa Luka. Luka is probably my favorite La-La Land Crafts character. We need to see more of him!


I colored Luka with Copic markers. This time, I played around with a new skin combination. My go-to skin markers were really dirty and I was too lazy to clean them. 


I'm happy with the way the new skin combo looks. You'll find all of the color combinations listed below. 


The Christmas Postcard Stamp Set is so awesome! I was so excited when I first saw it. The Dear Santa Clear Stamps Set have a couple of sentiments that work perfectly for the postcard. Like the Dear Santa, I can explain. It's perfect! I can totally see a little boy waiting for Santa with cookies and milk in order to change Santa's mind and put him on the nice list. Just like Santa Luka.

La-La Land Crafts New Release - Happy Camper Marci

Good morning!! Here we are with my third project for the November 2019 new release. You may remember Camper Marci from a Club Kit awhile back. Well, now she is available to everyone!! 


Happy Camper Marci would be great paired with the new Happy Trails Clear Stamp Set. 

I have had a lot of fun with this release. I love all the critters AND the dies. I am a sucker for all La-La Land Crafts dies. I know I am not alone in this!

La-La Land Crafts New Release - A Caroling We Will Go

Do you go Christmas caroling? It's not something we do every year, but the years that we have, it's been fun. Part of the reason we don't make this a tradition is because it is so darn cold here in Alaska. 

Ok, I know you're not here to talk about caroling so I will get on with it. Today's card features the NEW A Caroling We Go clear stamp set. 


These mice carolers are the cutest!! They are not the only critters released this month. Take a look! 


I place the mouse next to my favorite new die. The Lantern Die. I love the way it looks with the flame covered by velum. 


Let's talk a little bit about these gorgeous papers. 


First of all, I love the designs. The quality of this paper is awesome. It's thick, smooth and has a tiny bit of shine to it. It's great for distressed edges. Like on the first card I did for this release.

La-La Land Crafts New Release - Santa Mona

Good morning!! I am here this morning with La-La Land Crafts NEW RELEASE! I am so in love with this release! I have been so inspired that every card has come together without much thought at all. 

My first card is showcasing the new Santa Mona. 


I built a Christmas tree using the Three Christmas Trees Die. I cut the trees apart and then layered them on top of each other. I love the dimension I was able to achieve. 


I used the bulb paper from the Blue Christmas Paper Pack for the ornaments. I fussy cut each one glued it to the tree and then added a twine bow. 

I am super happy with how this card turned out. I'm not going to lie, it took quite a bit of time to build that tree and fussy cut the bulbs, but it was well worth it. 

Ok, if you haven't already, you HAVE to take a look at this release. So many cute stamps and dies!
