La-La Land Crafts New Release

Hello friends! I hope today finds you doing well.

La-La Land Crafts is celebrating a NEW RELEASE! This is actually day two of the release. I was unable to get two projects done this time. I have been struggling with fatigue for the past couple of weeks. Had some blood work done and discovered that I have Mono. So I am doing a lot of resting.

We (the La-La Land Crafts Design Team) were so excited about the stamps and dies in this release. Pregnant Mona, babies, and spring. All such happy and exciting things.

Oh! We can't forget about the new papers! The Spring has Sprung Paper Pack is my favorite! Out of all the papers thus far.

I was assigned the Bundle of Joy Clear Stamp Set. I fell in love with this little bear suit. I colored it by covering the entire suit in tiny little dots. Thus giving the suit a fuzzy cozy texture.

Can you spot how I used the Onesie Die? I didn't use it in the traditional way. I used it like you would lace or ribbon behind the square layers.

Paper Nest Dolls Gnome Card

La-La Land Crafts Oodles and Poodles of Love

Good morning everyone! Happy Friday! I'm not sure people are as thankful as we used to be about Fridays. The days are all running together for me. I never know what day it is. Hahaha

La-La Land Crafts April 2020 Club Kit

Good afternoon everyone! You are in for a yummy treat today! Pizza! Yep...you saw that right. Pizza. This months La-La Land Crafts Club Kit is all about pizza.

I'm in love! I mean who doesn't love pizza?!?

Here is the print out that comes with the Club Kit when you subscribe. I keep them in the package with the stamps so I can quickly find what I am looking for.

The dies, I put in separate storage. I like to keep all my dies easy to access because I use them often.

The first card that I made is a pizza shaker card. I used the toppings as my shaky pieces.

You're so CHEESY! I love this sentiment! And that cheese die. To be honest, when I first saw the die I thought it was a stove with burners. It's always good to have more than one way to use a die!

Irina gave me the idea of the mice popping out of the cheese during one of our weekly DT Zoom chats.

We had never done anything like that before the quarantine. It's been really nice to meet my teammates and get to know them a little.

I don't know if you noticed, but I used only La-La Land Crafts Designer Card Stock on my cards. I love this cardstock! It's awesome quality and the designs are great too!

La-La Land Crafts March 2020 Club Kit Inspiration

Hi there! How are you?! It's a beautiful sunny day here in Alaska. I am so thankful for the warm sun. It really does wonders for my mood.

I have a couple of sweet cards for you today. Full of my favorite sweet treat...ICECREAM!

This time I colored rainbow hair on the unicorns. I love how they turned out! Every unicorn should have rainbow hair!

It's so fun to have a tag in a card. I don't do that often.

The second card I made showcases Marci with Ice Cream. I had a little fun with her hair. I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but it's kind of grown on me.

The papers in the Love You More Paper Pack go perfectly with the way I colored Marci. I know a lot of people choose their papers and then color the image to match, but I always color my image and then choose the papers. It's much harder that way and probably takes more time to figure out what I'm going to do. Hahaha...I would probably stress a lot less if I did things the other way.

I was really happy with how the layout of the card came together. Sometimes I have trouble knowing just what to do. Since I took the advice of a couple teammates and started looking at the shape of the dies instead of what they actually are, it's been a little easier to come up with cute layouts.

It's always nice to have crafty friends that you can bounce ideas off of and that will give you advice.

La-La Land Crafts Hey Chickie

Hey there! So, we are all pretty much staying at home these days. How have you been spending your time? Me...I have been coloring, re doing my coffee table, re doing my dining room table, cleaning, cooking (A LOT) and really enjoying more family time. It's amazing how relaxed I feel. Being able to slow down has been a blessing to me.

This week the La-La Land Crafts Design Team all met together on Zoom. It was a lot of fun being able to see everyone and chat. We've never done that before. Irina is such a sweetheart. I am thankful to be on this team.

Our theme this week is Easter. I wasn't sure what I was going to do at first, but then I thought about making a basket out of a circle.

I stamped card stock with the Stress Free Zone Background Stamp Set and then used the large stitched circle die to cut out a circle. I then used scissors to cut out part of the center of the circle...voila! An Easter basket was made.

One of the things we talked about during our Zoom meeting was using the dies. When I look at the dies I tend to see what they are. Therefore I color them for what they are. Irina and another DT member suggested looking at the die as a shape instead. What a great idea! This opens up so many possibilities!
