La-La Land Crafts Use New Release

Hi there! How are you this beautiful Friday? I am excited for summer vacation to get here. There's only a month left before the girls are out of school. We have a super busy summer planned.

Anyway...on to today's card. We are using the new release again. I have to say, I love coloring the skin on this image!

I am totally in love with the Hearts Harlequin Layering Stencils. I have used this set more than any others.

I used Copic markers to color the image and oxide ink for the background paper.

La-La Land Crafts New Release April 2019 - Good Vibes Only Clear Stamp Set

Day 3 of this gorgeous La-La Land Crafts release. I think today's card may be my favorite of the three.

This card is made with the Good Vibes Only Clear Stamp Set. This set also comes with some powerful sentiments.

And check out the background paper! I made that with the NEW You Inspire Me Background Stamp Set. The Tim Holtz Oxide ink works amazing on this stamp. I also used the Oxide ink with the Hearts Harlequin Layering Stencils set.

I colored the image with Copic markers. Coloring darker skin was a little more challenging for me since I don't do it often. I actually threw out my first attempt and had to try a different color combination. The second time, I was happy with the outcome.

It has been fun seeing all the different ways that this images hair has been colored/styled.

La - La Land Crafts New Release April 2019 - I Can and I Will Clear Stamp Set plus Filler Words Print

Ready for day two of the La-La Land Crafts new release?!? The stamp set that I worked with today is the I Can and I Will Clear Stamp Set. I love the sentiments that come in this set. Super empowering.

While creating for this new release, the design team was challenged to create our own designed paper using any of the La-La Land Crafts Background Stamps or La - La Land Crafts Stencils. Not hard to do when there are so many choices!

I used the Hearts Harlequin Layering Stencils and Black Soot Oxide Ink to create the background paper.

I used Copic markers to color the beautiful image. I love that this was an image that I could put makeup on!

La - La Land Crafts New Release April 2019 - Sympathy Clear Stamp Set

My oh my! Another new release from La-La Land Crafts! You guys, this one is AWESOME! There's some new stamp sets that are sooooo different than what we are used to from La-La Land Crafts.

The first set that I got to play with is the Sympathy Clear Stamp Set.

This angel is just gorgeous! I colored her with Copic markers.

Take a look at the entire NEW RELEASE!!! So much awesomeness!!

As I started thinking about this card, I decided that it needed to be simple. I wanted the focus to be the angel.

I created a 5 & 1/2 inch x 5 & 1/2 inch card base and then cut a 5 & 1/4 inch x 5 & 1/4 inch piece of white cardstock which I inked using Tim Holtz distress ink and the NEW All About Lace Stencils. This stencil set is absolutely gorgeous!

Once I had the design on the white cardstock, I adhered the pearl trim down, stamped the sentiment, cut one Pierced Scalloped Die and one Stitched Oval Die. To help draw attention to the angel, I used foam squares to raise her off of the Oval Die. The last step was to adhere the candles.

Spring with La-La Land Crafts

Good morning! Happy Friday! This is going to be a busy weekend here at the Goodwin house. We have a birthday party for our tween and my husband is leaving for Virginia. While he is there, he is going to go to D.C. to see the White House and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We are going to miss him, of course, but while daddy is gone, the girls will play! I am looking forward to LOTS of crafting time.

Now that you are all caught up...I will get on to why you came to visit.

This week the La-La Land Crafts team is creating Spring themed projects. Making this card made me so happy! After 6 months of winter Spring is very welcomed!

I cut all the dies out of colored cardstock except for the clouds and the rainbow. I cut those out of white cardstock.

Reneabouquets Altered Frame and April Mood Board Challenge

Hi everyone! Thank you for joining me today. It's April Fools day. A day that I dread. My husband and my 11 year old LOVE to play pranks. I cautiously go about my day waiting for them to strike. Thankfully the jokes are harmless.

My crafty project for today is an altered frame. A few...ok, I'll be honest...SEVERAL months ago, my 16 year old daughter had gotten a plan wood frame for free. She gave it to me and asked me to make it pretty for her. I was super excited. She's never asked me to make anything for her. Well, life gets in the way and it took some time, but I finally got it done!

I started by painting the frame with gesso. I applied 3 coats before I was happy with the way it looked.

After the gesso, came texture. I used two La-La Land Crafts stencils and Texture Paste to achieve the look I was going for.

The La-La Land Crafts stencil set that I used is called Hearts and Harlequin Layering stencils.

Once the Texture Paste was dry, I inked the edges of the frame with distress inks.

When Linaya gave me the frame, she told me that she wanted to put a family picture in it. I knew what quote I wanted on the frame immediately.

I am going to put a picture of us at her graduation in it and give it to her. She graduates next month. A year early. I am so stinking proud of her!

I used many of Reneabouquets products on this frame. There is a complete list of products at the end of the post.

I chose these colors because purple is Linaya's favorite color. It's also the color that her room is decorated in...that and white.

I am very pleased with the way this project turned out. I can't wait to get our picture in it.
