Valentine's Day with Faery Ink

Well, hello there! I am super excited about Valentine's Day. In the Goodwin house, we make the day about the entire family. We buy the kids little Valentine's gifts, I make a nice dinner, the hubby puts together a playlist of love songs and we eat the dinner in candlelight. Sometimes we even rent a hotel room for the night (the hotel has to have a pool of course) The kids love it!

You have to have cute Valentine's cards to go with the gifts, right?!?
There's nothing cuter than the FREEBIE from Faery Ink this month.
She is perfect for those little Valentine's that the kids trade at school. I made a couple tiny Valentine's with her...not sure if I will give these to my girls or if I will let them take them to school to give to friends.

It's crazy how the same image can look so different when colored up in different colors. Both images are colored with Copic markers.

I decided to go with non traditional Valentine colors for the first card I made. It was surprising to me how fast these little cards are to make and just as much fun as the big ones! The size of this card is aprox 4.25 x 4.25 inches.

Copics used
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 R20 (blush)
Hair and eyes: E29, E25, E11
Clothes and shoes: V000, V01, V04, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99

Now on to the red, black and gold card. I really like this combo. The red really makes the card POP.

This one measures at about 3.75 x 4.75 inches. A little bigger than the other one, but still small and super cute. I used a white gel pen on the dress to get that sparkly effect.

Copics used
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11 R20 (blush)
Hair: Y19, Y15, Y000
Clothes and Shoes: R59, R24, C02, C04, C06, C08, C10
Wings; Y26 and Y28

Be sure to hop on over to the Faery Ink blog to get your FREEBIE. You only have 24 hours!
Also, I have a little note from Amanda, the Faery Ink artist...On release day I will be making an exception to my Terms of Use for this image. I'll allow people to color it once (or let their children color it etc.) and then print enough copies for their classroom to pass out for Valentine's day. So, if you have little ones in school and you'd like to do something like that - you are welcomed to.

Exciting huh? Amanda just made it super east to make Valentine's for both of my girls classes! LOVE THAT!!
Well, I guess I'd better get on that!
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Have a craftastic day!
