Lung Cancer Awareness and FREEBIE

Hi everyone!
Did you know that November is Lung Cancer Awareness month?
Did you know that more people die from lung cancer than colorectal, breast, and prostate cancers combined?

This awful disease has had a huge impact on my family. We have lost my Dad, my Aunt, and my Grandpa to lung cancer.  Then on February 9, 2016 my sister, Daisy, was diagnosed with lung cancer. We were all shocked, heart broken, scared...I was angry. Daisy has never smoked, she has never drank or used drugs. How does a person who has never smoked get lung cancer?!?

Daisy had surgery in March to remove a lobe of her lungs. A few days later we learned that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. She went through 4 Chemo treatments and is now doing Immunotherapy. (treatment that uses medicines to stimulate the body's immune system to search out and destroy cancer cells) Daisy has completed 6 out of 16 of the Immunotherapy treatments. She is now in remission...Praise the Lord!!

My goal this month is to bring more awareness to lung cancer.

My sweet friend, Bonnie from We Are 3 Digital papers and Kathryne from Miss Daisy Stamps, have created some beautiful cancer awareness digital papers and a digi stamp to help me on my awareness raising mission. Here is a card that I made using one of the papers...

I took a picture of the card before I put the image and embellishments on so you could see what the paper looks like.

The great thing about these papers is that you can color the ribbon to represent any kind of cancer. I chose to use green with the white ribbons because green is my sisters favorite color =)

The image is from Mari's Digital Stamps. I colored her with Copic markers.
The beautiful lace, seam binding and white foam flowers are from Gone Artsy. I also used flowers from Lavish Laces.

I also made a card using the digital stamp Kathryne made...

I love this butterfly! It's so beautiful.

These wonderful ladies are offering the Color Me Cancer Free Digital papers and the Color Me Cancer Free Card Kit for $2.00 each until the 4th.

There is one more thing...A FREEBIE for you!!! Brought to you by Miss Daisy Stamps and We Are 3 Digital Paper.

You can find lots of good information on cancer HERE.  I found this piece on Lung Cancer very educational. It gives you statistics and treatments.

Please help us in our quest to raise awareness on lung cancer.

Thank you for stopping by to visit. Have a craftastic day!
