From Trash To Treasure Altered Formula Can

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you all.
Today I have an altered formula can to share with you.

Can you believe that started out looking like this?!?

I've been hanging on to this can for over 3 years. Crazy I know!
I knew I would do something with it SOMEDAY.
I used some gorgeous Graphic45 paper to cover the canister.
The adhesive I used on the card stock is Elmer's Craft Bond spray adhesive. It is my favorite adhesive for projects like this. There is no warping or bubbling in the paper.

I curled the twine with a ribbon curling iron. Really, there is such a thing!
I got it at Micheal's. I have so much fun with it.

The lace is from Gone Artsy. Its my favorite lace!

The big pink flowers are from the Cricut image set Flower Shoppe. It is #M4709B.
I cut the image out 3 times at different sizes, inked the edges with Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, curled up the petals and then attached the layers with hot glue.

The little flowers are from Micheal's.

Aren't those love birds the cutest!?!

The beautiful dragonfly and butterfly are from Renea's Bouquets. She has the most beautiful embellishments and much more.

Later today I will be abandoning my canister somewhere with a $10 gift certificate to Starbucks.
Fun, right! It is the challenge going on right now in the Gone Artsy Challenge Group on Facebook. You have until the 15th of this month if you'd like to play along.

Have a great day!

  9. I really fell in love with your beautiful project Tina. The blooms are lovely and you have used lovely elements. I don't think 3 years sounds crazy, lol. I had similar experience too with my alteration project; the story is at this link if you are interested: http://qinaahanaartsandcrafts.blogspot.com/2014/04/my-fathers-legacy.html. Thank you Tina for entering ATG challenge at Through The Craft Room Door recently and please join us again in the current challenge. Happy creating Tina :)
